The poison trade was established by Leonid Zakutenko.
It is clarified that similar activities were previously carried out by Canadian Kenneth Lowe. In December 2023, he was charged with murdering 14 people.
The name of the toxic substance is not officially published, but according to Global News, Lowe could have supplied the British with sodium nitrite.
The substance is sold legally in the UK, but legality of use must be verified.
It was possible to establish Zakutenko’s involvement in the poison trade through a dummy.
It is known that the Ukrainian sent up to five parcels a week to Britain.
According to the investigation, at least 133 people in Britain have died from inhaling this substance since 2019.
