The United States denies accusations of involvement in sabotage at Nord Stream

The United States denies the accusation of involvement in the bombing of Russian underwater gas pipelines Nord Stream.

Washington chose to leave the investigation to the countries in whose jurisdiction the incident occurred.

This statement was made by the official representative of the country’s State Department, Ned Price.

Let us recall that earlier the American journalist Seymour Hersh, in his article, accused Washington and Oslo of the sabotage that happened at Nord Stream.

Due to the explosion (September 2022), Russian gas supplies to Germany and other European countries stopped.

Mr Price called the accusation that his country’s authorities were involved in the bombings “pure disinformation”.

We voice this message constantly in the face of the lies generated by the Russian authorities, and we will continue to do so in any form, if necessary, – a diplomat from MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

He added that the sabotage did not occur in the United States.

“I leave it to our partners, on whose territory these explosions occurred, to speak out about the appropriate investigative mechanisms,” the State Department official noted.

But he refused to comment on Russia’s initiative to hold a meeting of the UN Security Council on February 22 regarding the Nord Stream incident.
