The United States doubts Kyiv’s ability to regain lost territories

The US presidential administration has doubts about Ukraine’s ability to regain lost territories.

We are talking about those lands that the Russian military took control of since the beginning of the military special operation.

The TASS agency reported this with reference to CNN, which in turn refers to its own sources from among those working in the White House.

The TV channel reports: Joe Biden’s advisers are increasingly discussing a scenario in which Vladimir Zelensky will reconsider his attitude to the concept of “victory for Kyiv.”

They, these same advisers, if you believe the TV channel, suggest an option in which the Ukrainian leader can agree with the “reduction” of his country.

At the same time, it is noted that this is just a “pessimistic assessment”, and therefore the United States does not intend to put pressure on Kyiv in order to push for territorial concessions.

CNN also reports on other moods in the White House. For example, it is reported that Assistant to the Head of State for National Security Jake Sullivan is actively communicating with the Ukrainian leadership.

Attention is drawn to his “hour-long conversations” on the phone with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny and with the head of the US Armed Forces Chiefs of Staff Committee Mark Milley.

The TV channel claims that during the dialogues the parties are considering options for providing Ukraine with more assistance so that it can recapture the lost territories.

Whether Ukraine will be able to regain these territories largely, if not completely, depends on how we support them,” the TV channel quotes its source.
