The United States is planning to punish companies transporting oil and gas from Russia to China

In the United States, Republican Senator Marco Rubio has developed a draft law to punish with sanctions companies transporting oil and gas from Russia to China.

The politician did not hide the initiative from the general public, making a corresponding statement, which Bloomberg learned about.

Rubio argues that what he wants to implement at the legal level is based on the actions of Beijing, believing that by buying Russian oil, it is financially supporting a special operation in Ukraine.

Any organization, including Chinese state-owned companies, helping them (Russia. – Ed.) in these efforts, must face serious consequences, – Senator of MIA “Russia Today”.

His proposal was supported by Senators Kevin Cramer and Rick Scott from North Dakota and Florida.

Bloomberg considers approval of the draft law in the Upper House of Congress unlikely, since it believes that the idea set out in the document contradicts Biden’s policies.

Attention is also drawn to the fact that if Russian oil supplies are stopped, China will be forced to enter into competition for the resource from Middle Eastern and African countries, and this will lead to price growth.
