The United States is planning to transfer another Patriot system to Ukraine

62views

The White House is thinking about transferring another Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

Bloomberg learned about this and brought it to the attention of the general public, citing its own sources.

They stated that the United States plans to send another such system to the overseas Slavic country in order to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for air defense systems.

As the Russian news agency TASS has become familiar with the Bloomberg publication, US allies in the European Union are now working on a similar issue.

The latter are considering the possibility of transferring additional air defense systems from their reserves to Kyiv.

How many specific types of weapons Europe wants to supply has not yet been specified.

But it is known that during a meeting with the head of the American State Department, Antony Blinken, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky asked for two Patriot systems.

According to the Ukrainian leader, they are needed to protect Kharkov and the region.

He also stated that the issue of air defense for Ukraine is, in principle, extremely relevant, since such systems are the greatest deficit for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, Blinken in Kyiv announced the need for an expanded one in Ukraine.
