The United States told Ukraine the unpleasant truth about Western military equipment

0views

Journalist Patrick Drennan published an article in The National Interest, where he spoke about the state of American military equipment.

He believes that Western military equipment did not prove extremely effective during the Ukrainian military conflict.

In his article, Drennan suggests that the decline in efficiency was due to the complexity of operation, high cost and lack of preparedness for climatic conditions.

According to the journalist, Western military equipment faces problems in the field.

As an example, he cites the Abrams tank, which cannot be repaired during battle.

The journalist writes that an Abrams model tank cannot be repaired if the optics are damaged, since replacing them requires sending military equipment to a warehouse.

The production of one tank of this type costs 10 million dollars, while Leopard 2 costs about 6 million dollars.

Brennan believes that the F-16 will also not be suitable for the Ukrainian army due to the high cost of maintenance.
