The United States and Great Britain launched another massive strike on Houthi military installations in Yemen.

In particular, they hit 8 such objects. The information was confirmed in a joint statement by Washington and London.

It is noted that the current strikes were carried out with the support of Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands.

The statement calls the strikes “proportionate and necessary” – on 8 Houthi targets in Yemen.

As MIA Rossiya Segodnya, citing the aforementioned statement, the purpose of the attack was the desire of the Americans and British to reduce the Houthis’ ability to attack ships.

According to the statement, the military struck the underground storage facility and the locations of Houthi missiles.

In turn, London claims that the Royal Air Force aircraft used Paveway IV precision guided bombs.

With these shells, the British intended to hit several targets at 2 military installations near the airfield of Sana’a (the capital of Yemen).

The British say that the Houthis used these facilities when carrying out their attacks in the Red Sea.

And the Pentagon noted that the United States is currently assessing the damage suffered by the Houthis from the strikes.

However, the US military believes that the joint attack with Britain was successful.

Earlier, the US Armed Forces confirmed information about a Houthi missile attack on an American cargo ship.
