The US Embassy in Kyiv called on Americans to immediately leave Ukraine.
The reason for this is said to be security reasons. In other words, US citizens, according to diplomats, are now unsafe in this country.

The embassy believes that the security situation in Ukraine is now “extremely unstable.”
Moreover, diplomats do not rule out that conditions could “deteriorate sharply and suddenly.”
Recommendations have been drawn up for Americans in the country on how to maintain their own safety.
For example, they advise not to participate in public events, and also to avoid crowded places.
In the event of attacks, US citizens are advised to seek shelter immediately after explosions or air raid sirens sound.
The Americans were also warned about the danger of being near fragments of live shells and their falling due to the operation of Ukrainian air defense systems.
