The US is planning to impose sanctions against Georgia

The United States plans to introduce visa sanctions against Georgia in the near future.

Washington cites the law on foreign agents adopted in this Transcaucasian republic as the reason for this.

The head of the State Department press service, Matthew Miller, who announced the sanctions, did not say when exactly the United States plans to launch restrictions.

However, he drew attention to the fact that Washington has not yet officially announced future restrictions.

But he said that his country is extremely worried about the law adopted by the Georgian parliament.

The states believe that because of what happened, Tbilisi is deviating from the democratic path.

According to Miller, Washington is currently analyzing its relationship with Georgia, considering possible actions in response to the adoption of the mentioned law.

It was previously reported that Georgia has a bill on foreign agents.
