The US Mission to the OSCE placed an inverted Ukrainian flag on the Crimean Peninsula

Trying to prove to the world community that the Crimean Peninsula is nothing more than a part of Ukraine, the US mission to the OSCE was embarrassed.

The specialists who prepared the propaganda video at the end of the action painted the Ukrainian flag turned upside down on the territory of Crimea as a background.

The publication can still be seen on the mission’s Twitter account, in its original version – US Mission to OSCE.

The Crimean peninsula has long been a stumbling block in relations between Russia and Ukraine.

But it should be noted that on October 18, 1921 – that is, exactly 100 years ago – a decree was issued in Soviet Russia on the formation of the Crimean Autonomy as part of the RSFSR – KASSR.

Already in 1945, this territorial unit appeared as the Crimean region, and in 1954 it was included in the Ukrainian SSR.

With their appeal, the Americans sought to grant the OSCE monitoring mission the right to patrol the entire territory of Ukraine, including the disputed area of land.

To confirm their intentions, the Americans decorated the territory of the peninsula with the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

But for some reason, they mixed up the arrangement of the colors of the state symbol, of which there are only two on the Ukrainian banner.

As a result, the blue color, representing the firmament, was at the bottom, and yellow, accordingly, at the top.
