The US no longer believes in Ukraine’s victory – Hill

The United States has stopped believing in the “complete victory” of Ukraine. Moreover, Washington fears an escalation of tensions.

The latter, according to a certain group of politicians, is possible due to the supply of American weapons.

This position was voiced by former Advisor to the Under Secretary of State for Global Affairs Robert Manning in an article on Hill magazine.

In particular, he said that the White House is pursuing an aggressive policy towards China, but does not dare to interfere directly in Russia’s special operation.

The US policy regarding the conflict in Ukraine is more cautious: it implies the unification of allies, the provision of military equipment, training of personnel, but excludes direct military intervention, – a specialist from MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

He also noted that, unlike the situation with Taiwan, the United States has no defense obligations to Ukraine.

The expert said: “cheerful chants” in his country about Kyiv’s “complete victory” were replaced by an awareness of the harsh reality with a “less certain outcome.”

At the same time, there is a growing fear in America of escalation due to the supply of high-tech weapons to Ukraine, Mr. Manning added.
