The US Senate approved a draft law on assistance to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan

The US Senate voted to approve a bill to help allies, including Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, previously passed by the House of Representatives.

According to reports, 79 senators voted to approve the document, and 18 were against it.

About this MIA “Russia Today”, noting that the mentioned draft law has received approval from both chambers of Congress.

Next, it will go to President Joe Biden for signature, who previously announced that he would sign this bill.

As for assistance to Ukraine, the document allows the use of budget funds in the amount of $60.84 billion for these purposes.

But at the same time, $23.2 billion will apparently be spent on replenishing the weapons transferred to Kyiv from Pentagon warehouses.

Another $13.8 billion will be spent on military purchases for the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the open market.

And the draft law proposes to allocate $11.3 billion to support “current US military operations in the region.”

There is also such an expense item as an audit of military assistance. For these purposes, Congress allocates $26 million from the total aid package.

Earlier, the United States announced its readiness to provide Ukraine with another aid amounting to $1 billion.
