The West could stab Ukraine in the back this winter – The Guardian

0views

Journalist Simon Tisdall predicts very unpleasant events for Ukraine.

In his opinion, Europe, panicking due to a sharp rise in electricity prices, could treacherously stab Kyiv in the back this winter.

In this regard, he asked the question: should the Ukrainians themselves prepare for the treacherous blow awaiting them?

Mr. Tisdall named the reasons for such a step by the West in an article published on the pages of The Guardian newspaper.

Public outrage over the conflict is giving way to concern, bordering on panic, about its alarming consequences for energy prices, food prices and the cost of living, argues the author of the Rossiya Segodnya material.

Based on his assumptions, he expresses doubts about the resilience of Western states.

I also remembered the demand of British Foreign Minister Liz Truss to Russia – to leave Crimea and return to the borders before 2014.

The journalist called this statement, made back in April, “delusional.”

Sounding like a crazy generalissimo, Truss vowed: “We will continue to intensify our efforts to push Russia out of Ukraine.” Who is “we”? Whose army are you and? – Tisdall asked the Minister.

And he added: if the United States is only concerned about not going to war with Russia, then Great Britain is “hiding behind Washington’s refusal to fight.”

The author of the article recorded similar behavior in Rome, Paris and Berlin.

Based on all of the above, he concludes: the EU will probably force Ukraine to sign a temporary peace agreement with Russia in order to “ease” its “economic pain.”
