Problems with sugar are observed both in the capital of the country, Warsaw, and in other regions.

Why did the sugar disappear?

In the Polish capital, there is no white sugar in both large retail chains and small stores.

In some retail outlets, sugar appears from time to time, and then limits are introduced for customers – no more than 10 kg per person.

Judging by publications on social networks, there is also a shortage of this product in other regions of the country.

Sellers say that they themselves are surprised by the disappearance of sugar and the increased demand, and that sugar was simply not delivered to stores.

One possible reason could be the height of the jam-making season, but in previous years there were no problems with sugar during this period.

The Aldi retail chain announced a “tense global situation”, which is associated with logistics, high transportation tariffs, and a shortage of drivers and containers.

Added to this are the conditions associated with weather and climate, – the message said.
