On September 28, a fire occurred at the Naftan oil refinery in Novopolotsk.
Firefighters are currently at the scene and the fire has been contained.
This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, when starting up the delayed coking unit, diesel fuel escaped and then caught fire.
Flare burning occurs at +3 meters– said in a statement from the department’s press service.
At the moment, the fire has been localized, emergency services units continue to work at the scene.
As reported with reference to the Belneftekhim concern, there is no threat to the city and population.
