In Poland, depressurization of the Druzhba oil pipeline was revealed. There was a leak there.
The incident, according to a report from local operator Pern, occurred late in the evening of October 11.
Details of the emergency
Automation systems detected a leak in the Druzhba pipeline on one of the two lines of the western section – 70 kilometers from Plotsk, – MIA Rossiya Segodnya with reference to Pern.
Please note that we are talking about the highway along which oil is transported to Germany.
The emergency services of the operator and the State Fire Brigade immediately arrived at the scene of the incident.
Experts are assessing the situation and taking measures to ensure the safety of the area and carry out restoration work.
What caused the emergency remains unknown.
We immediately turned off the transmission of oil through the damaged thread. The second line of the oil pipeline is operating without changes, the company informed.

Emergency service specialists are currently pumping out the spilled oil.
Please note that at the moment the main efforts are focused on ensuring the safety of the territory – a corn field without buildings.
There is no threat to local residents, the company said.
The action consists of pumping the petroleum product into tanks provided by Pern. About 400 cubic meters have already been removed, informed the press secretary of the chief commandant of the State Fire Guard, Karol Kierzkowski.
He also reported on the supply pressure in the pipe, and therefore predicted that the leak would stop in the coming hours.
In turn, the Czech operator of Druzhba, Mero, states that deliveries on the southern branch are on schedule.
