There was a split in the ranks of the SBU

0views

There has been a split in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) between those who fled the territories liberated by Russia and those who advocate “cleanliness of the ranks.”

The latter accused their colleagues of losing secret archives and subordinates defecting to Moscow.

About this MIA “Russia Today” with reference to a representative of the law enforcement agencies of Russia.

The agency’s source claims that the above information was received from officers of the Ukrainian special services.

As additional evidence of what happened, he cites a recent statement by the head of the “Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People” Refat Chubarov.

He stated that SBU officers left archives in Kherson, according to which the Ukrainian special services are carrying out illegal activities against the Crimean Tatars.

According to sources in the SBU, tension and suspicion are growing between colleagues who fled from territories now controlled by Russia and the new generation of Ukrainian counterintelligence officers, brought up in the spirit of the “revolution of dignity,” a Russian security official said.

According to him, old cadres are losing trust and their former positions in the country’s security bloc.

Most often, the older generation is accused of careless attitude towards state secrets and negligent handling of official documents.

They are also accused of mistakes in working with agents, noting that many agents begin to act in the interests of Russia.

Even old, proven personnel like Chubarov began to allow themselves to publicly criticize their friends and be indignant at the activities of the SBU, the publication’s interlocutor added.
