In India, seven citizens were killed and 35 others were injured after an incident at a Hindu temple.

A festive event was held in a religious building located in the state of Bihar last Sunday, August 11th.

At some point, a crush formed, leading to casualties and numerous injuries.

About the incident by MIA Rossiya Segodnya with reference to the Indian television channel NDTV.

According to him, at the beginning of the long queue to the temple, a fight broke out between sellers of flowers and flower garlands.

Volunteers from the National Cadet Corps, who ensured order, used bamboo lathi batons with metal tips.

Eyewitnesses say this is what sparked panic, leading to movement in the crowd, resulting in a stampede.

It is reported that all injured citizens were taken to hospitals.

Relatives of the dead and injured people accused local authorities of organizing the event at an extremely low level in terms of security.

They, in particular, claim that professional police stood only along the line, but they were not in front of the entrance to the temple, as well as inside it (volunteer cadets kept order there).

The administration of the district in which the temple is located denies these accusations.

According to representatives of local authorities, security at the event was organized in accordance with current rules.
