The Austrian Ministry of Defense states: Ukraine has a need for air defense systems to protect critical infrastructure.

Colonel of the Austrian Defense Ministry Markus Reisner announced this on air on the ZDF television channel.

According to him, since the beginning of the Russian special operation, a third of Ukraine’s air defense systems have been destroyed.
Western arms supplies do not help much in this regard, since Ukraine is a fairly large country and, accordingly, has many objects in need of protection.
It is almost impossible to do anything about this,” Mr. Reisner voiced his opinion regarding the current situation.
Among other things, he added, the capabilities of European countries to provide military assistance to Ukraine are limited – weapons stocks are being reduced.
