A student infected with COVID-19 chose an unconventional way to comply with the self-isolation regime.

To avoid infecting his loved ones, the young man sat on a tree for 11 days.

An unusual situation occurred in the village of Nalgonda in the Indian state of Telengana, foreign media reported.

The 18-year-old boy, whose name is Shiva, learned of a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 in early May.

The student was afraid that his family would become infected with the coronavirus, so he decided to get sick not at home, but on a tree located next to the building.

The young man “installed” a bed in the branches.

The unusual regime of self-isolation lasted more than ten days. All this time, the young Indian was communicating with his family on his mobile phone.

Food was given to him by his loved ones using a special “lift” created by a sick student.

Shiva is known to be studying at the University of Hyderabad in southern India.

Recently, a young man returned to his homeland because classes at his university were canceled due to a sharp deterioration in the epidemiological situation.
