Super brilliant passage tonight Space Station International (ISS): today 17 September 2024, starting from 7.53pm to the north west the ISS will put on a show by cutting across the whole of Italy! There will be a splendid transit and visible throughout Italy to the naked eye. If you have clear skies, eyes on the sky and punctuality, the passage will last approximately 8 minutes. There ISS it will be easily recognizable as it will be a very bright point in the sky that will not ‘twinkle’ like a star but will have a fixed light. Below, here is the map for Rome (just for example). In the next paragraph you will find the way to download the maps from your city (the height will change but the times will be practically the same as the rising, west, and the setting, towards the south – east).

How to download sky maps of your city?
It’s very simple to know where and when the International Space Station (ISS) will be visible from your city. The fastest way is to connect to the site and select your city at the top right. Once this is done, select ‘ISS’ from the menu and you’re done. Maps with time and date will obviously be available for download.
