Tourists banned from swimming in Turkey from April to November

0views

In Antalya, Turkey, tourists were banned from swimming. According to the Turkish publication CNN TÜRK, this decision was made by local authorities.

The ban applies to inland waters of the Turkish province.

These include rivers, lakes, ponds and other bodies of water where tourists regularly come to fish or swim.

The reason is that recently the number of drowned tourists has increased sharply.

Restrictions will also be introduced at sea. All types of motorized or non-motorized transport are now prohibited from entering the sea area marked by buoys as a swimming area.

Ships and yachts were prohibited from approaching the shore closer than 200 meters.

This resolution will be in effect annually from April 1 to November 15.
