Traces of a previously unknown ancient civilization discovered in Tibet

23views

Archaeologists from the Qinghai-Tibet Scientific Expedition discovered traces of an ancient civilization previously unknown to science.

Presumably the find indicates a nomadic civilization, about which historians knew nothing. The discovery was made during a survey of the Namtso Lake area in Tibet.

At the excavation site, archaeologists discovered drawings, stone tools and tombs.

Researchers believe that the rock paintings in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau area were left by representatives of an unknown culture.

The analysis showed that the alleged nomads were in contact with other ethnic groups.

The discovered cave paintings contained elements characteristic of the early inhabitants of Tibet “and the early Han Chinese,” reports .

Images of Chinese characters discovered immediately indicate that Lake Namtso was one of the points of the ancient Silk Road.

This explains the unification of different cultures.

According to the CGTN resource, the research mission organized in Tibet is already the second in a row.

The study of rock paintings on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau began in August 2017.
