A terrible incident happened in one of the nursing homes in Croatia.
An armed man opened fire on people. At least six people died as a result.
Earlier, the media wrote about five victims of an attack on a nursing home located in the city of Daruvar.
According to the TASS agency, citing local television HRT, one of those wounded during the shooting died in the hospital.
According to the mentioned source, there are currently six other injured citizens in the country’s medical institutions.
Doctors assess the condition of three of them as serious.
The head of the Croatian government Andrej Plenkovic, President Zoran Milanovic and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Davor Bozinovic expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
The police department of the Belovar-Bilogorsk region confirmed the detention of a suspect in an attack on a nursing home.
Some media outlets learned that a former military police officer living in one of the neighboring villages had been detained.
According to unofficial information, his mother lived in that nursing home.
