Transit of Russian oil via Druzhba through Ukraine was paid for by the EU

3views

An agreement was reached between Budapest and Bratislava with Kiev regarding the resumption of transit of Russian oil through the territory of Ukraine.

We are talking about supplies through the Druzhba pipeline. The named EU countries were represented by MOL (Hungary) and Slovnaft Oil Refinery (Slovakia).

This information was announced by the Slovak TV channel TA3, citing a representative of the oil refinery, Anton Molner.

The Ukrainian side responded positively to the proposal of the Slovnaft and MOL companies to pay transit costs for oil supplies via the southern branch of the Druzhba pipeline, – message from MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

It is noted that the Slovak refinery has already transferred funds to Kyiv and expects the resumption of energy supplies in the coming days.

Please note: a similar option also suited Russia.

Later it became known that Ukraine confirmed receipt of money for transit and stated that it plans to restore oil pumping on August 10 by 16:00 (the time coincides with Belarusian time).

Earlier, on August 4, Ukrtransnafta stopped the transit of black gold from Russia via Druzhba to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

According to the company’s statement, this was done due to the impossibility of Moscow making a transit payment due to the imposed sanctions.
