Türkiye is conducting a large-scale anti-terrorism operation “Heroes”

The head of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs announced a large-scale anti-terrorist operation throughout the country.

Over 13 thousand law enforcement officers have been involved in its implementation. It is reported that 12 terrorists and more than 110 suspects involved in the outlawed PKK were detained.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the start of a large-scale anti-terrorist operation called “Heroes,” reports.

As of 08:30 a.m., security forces carried out 466 counter-terrorism operations on the territory of the republic.

13,440 security forces are involved in the activities, and 12 terrorists and 55 terrorism suspects were detained in different regions of the country.

Over the past 24 hours, more than 110 people were detained who are suspected of involvement in the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, banned in Turkey.

The republican authorities took these measures after the terrorist attack on October 1 near the Ministry of Internal Affairs building in Ankara.

Then one of the attackers managed to detonate an explosive device and blow himself up, and the second man was shot dead.

The PKK claimed responsibility for the attack. According to the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, one of the attackers was a member of a banned party.
