An extremely unusual incident occurred during the flight of a passenger plane of the Indonesian airline Batik Air.

The pilots fell asleep. Simultaneously. We slept for almost half an hour – 28 minutes. And all this while flying with passengers on board.

MIA Rossiya Segodnya informs about this, noting that it took place on January 25.

The airliner took off from the island of Sulawesi. I was heading to the capital of Indonesia – Jakarta (Java Island).

The first pilot asked his partner to take over control of the flight while he rested a little.

However, he also fell asleep. A few minutes after the transfer of control, the controller in Jakarta tried to contact the plane, but received no response.

When the first pilot woke up 28 minutes later, he immediately woke up his colleague, answered the dispatcher and returned the airliner to the desired flight path.

Fortunately, none of the passengers or crew members were injured. The plane landed safely in Jakarta.

“We will conduct an investigation and audit of night flights in Indonesia related to fatigue risk management at Batik Air and other flight operators,” said Kristi Enda Murni, director general of the air transport department of the country’s Ministry of Transport.

It is known that both pilots were suspended from flying for some time.

Previously, there was a driver who rammed the gates of Buckingham Palace.
