Against the backdrop of the G20 summit taking place in the Italian capital, supporters of leftist and anti-fascist organizations took to the streets of the city.

According to law enforcement officials, the march took place peacefully, without incident, and activists shouted slogans demanding environmental justice.

On Saturday, against the backdrop of the G20 summit that started in Rome, local activists of the Fridays for future climate movement initiated a protest, MIA reports.

The demonstrators are trying to draw the attention of politicians to global environmental problems through their actions.

The protesters chanted slogans: “We are unstoppable, another world is possible,” and in total up to 5 thousand people took to the streets of Rome.

Local police say the column of protesters moved slowly and was led by a truck carrying speakers.

The procession took place to the rhythms of rock music mixed with speeches by the “leader” of the protest action.

Another action took place in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano.

Representatives of the Italian Communist Party gathered here, opposing the course of the government of Mario Draghi.

The protesters perform under red flags and with the same banners and slogans.
