From October 4, entry into the UK for foreign tourists will be significantly simplified.

First of all, it is worth noting the abolition of the mandatory PCR test for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The new rules apply to foreigners arriving from orange list countries.

The corresponding publication appeared on the Twitter account of British Transport Minister Grant Shapps.

Previously, tourists from these countries who decided to visit the UK had to present a negative PCR test for coronavirus, which was done no later than 72 hours before arrival.

On the second day of stay, a repeat test was required.

Now, in order to enter the country, you must undergo a vaccination course. This measure will be in effect from October 4.

It is noteworthy that Russia is included in the orange list. And after September 22, 8 more states will be removed from the red list, including Turkey and Pakistan.

All of them will be included in the orange list.

Tourists arriving from these countries are exempt from the need to take a PCR test, as well as undergo this procedure again. It will be enough to do a cheaper urgent test for COVID-19.

According to the official, such measures have been taken to simplify international travel, reduce costs and take advantage of the benefits provided by vaccination.
