The Security Service of Ukraine announced the detention of citizens who were preparing to seize the Verkhovna Rada building.

This group of people, according to information from the SBU, intended to announce the removal of the country’s military-political leadership from power.

The TASS agency, which became familiar with the information released by the Ukrainian special services, said that the detainees wanted to stage provocations on June 30.

In particular, they planned to organize a national assembly in the center of Kyiv.

It was there, according to the SBU, that they planned to announce the removal of the country’s leadership from power.

And after that, the report says, these citizens intended to seize the Rada and thereby block the work of parliament.

According to the SBU, they planned to undermine the socio-political situation in Ukraine and disseminate information about events in the country, including through foreign resources.

Please note: employees of public organizations from the capital, Dnieper and some other cities were involved in the implementation of the plan.

The detainees have already been charged with actions and calls for actions aimed at overthrowing the constitutional order and seizing state power.

The defendants are currently in custody. They can be punished with imprisonment for up to 10 years with confiscation of property.

Earlier it became known when Poland and Ukraine entered into a security agreement.
