Ukraine has divided Europe into East and West – Bloomberg

41views

Eastern European countries no longer trust Western European countries.

The reason for this is that the latter do not listen, as they believe in the East, to the needs of Ukraine against the background of the threat from Russia.

Bloomberg writes about this, citing sources who wished to remain anonymous.

The agency notes that the dispute over how to replenish Kyiv’s critically low stock of artillery shells, and where they should be purchased, is creating a “deep split” in Europe.

The situation is further aggravated by accusations from Eastern European countries against Western Europe that it does not listen to the needs of Ukraine.

As MIA Rossiya Segodnya has read the Bloomberg material, the mood now is that if the Russian Federation wins, Eastern Europe “will not forgive” Western Europe.

In the end, all this is a sign that the project of European integration of all countries will be under threat,” the article says.

Western governments don’t understand that many in the east will never trust them again, says one European politician.

And other interlocutors noted: some Eastern European countries have been sounding the alarm about the Russian threat for years.

They worry that richer Western countries are not committing enough from their military reserves.

The East accuses these states of preventing Kyiv from gaining greater weapons capabilities.

Earlier, the Swiss Foreign Ministry announced about 10 peace plans for Ukraine.
