Recently it became known about the Ukrainian authorities’ expressed desire to acquire American short-range radars.
We are talking about Sentinel devices that track ballistic missiles, low-speed UAVs, airplanes, helicopters and some other objects.
The newspaper Politico reported Kyiv’s needs for these radars, citing a source familiar with the course of the US-Ukrainian negotiations.
According to the publication, Ukraine’s desire to acquire Sentinel is due to forecasts regarding the coming winter – they predict it will be very difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the country as a whole.

Earlier, the Pentagon chief said that the United States would provide Kyiv with an additional package of military assistance worth $100 million.
