In the coming days, Ukraine will receive the first four MiG-29 fighters from Poland.

This information was announced by Polish President Andrzej Duda on March 16 at a press conference after a meeting with Czech President Petr Pavel.

What Duda said about the transfer of fighter jets to Ukraine

Announcing the transfer of fighter jets to Ukraine, Duda noted that Poland now has more than ten such aircraft in stock.

The first four, according to the head of the Polish state, will be transferred in the coming days.

Over the next few days we will hand over the first 4 fully operational aircraft, – quotes the President of Poland.

According to him, the remaining fighters are currently being prepared for transfer and maintenance is being carried out.

Duda noted that these are the fighters that Poland once received from the GDR army.

They are still operating in our air defense, but these are the last years of their work,” the Polish leader clarified.
