12 Ukrainian soldiers remained at a US military base in Kabul after the US military left the facility.
This was reported on Ukrainian television.
In addition to Ukrainians, there are Georgian, Bulgarian and Romanian military personnel at the base, about 40 people in total.
The Taliban have already visited the base and taken all the weapons. It is noted that the militants behaved politely, but warned that things could be different. The Taliban also posted guards at the base.
According to Ukrainian media, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware of the situation, but cannot influence it, evacuation options are being studied.
Letters were sent to diplomats with a list of Ukrainian citizens at the base and copies of passports.
As previously reported, today the radical Taliban movement suspended all flights from Kabul airport, dispersing the people gathered there by shooting in the air.
