UN data on civilian deaths in Ukraine, DPR and LPR since February 24 released

Data from the monitoring mission of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on the number of victims and injured in the territory of Ukraine, DPR and LPR from February 24 to March 18 have been published.

At least 847 civilians became victims on the territory of Ukraine, 1399 were injured.

However, the actual numbers may be higher, it says.

According to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), 847 people were killed and 1,399 injured on the territory of Ukraine.
Of these: 155 men, 119 women, 7 girls, 21 boys. At this time, the gender of 509 adults and 36 children could not be determined.

Dead DPR and LPR

The UN report cited 53 civilians killed and 181 wounded in territory controlled by the “self-proclaimed republics.”

In territory controlled by Kyiv, 187 people were killed and 547 were injured.

Other regions of Ukraine

The UN then provides figures on the dead in the city of Kyiv, as well as in Cherkassy, ​​Chernihiv, Kharkov, Kherson, Kyiv, Nikolaev, Odessa, Sumy, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions, reporting 607 killed civilians.

In the report, OHCHR reports that the report of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine and the report of the head of the Investigation Department of the National Police of the Kharkiv region were taken into account.

It is worth noting that the data of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation does not appear in the report of the UN monitoring mission.
