Unknown viral fever in India kills 68 people in a week

21views

In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, 68 people died from an unknown viral fever in just one week.

Of this number, 40 children became victims of the disease. The exact death toll may change as… Only clinic patients are included in medical reports.

Indian media do not rule out that the actual number of victims may differ from the announced figure.

Almost 70 people died within a week. Of these, 40 were children, of whom 12 died in the past 24 hours alone.

Doctors report that the situation is worst in the western regions of Uttar Pradesh.

The intense heat and high humidity prevailing in the region are contributing to an increase in the number of casualties among the population.

All this is happening against the backdrop of the fight against the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

There are not enough places in clinics, so patients with an unknown disease are placed for treatment in the same clinics where people with a diagnosis of COVID-19 are already located.

When infected with a new fever, the patient’s temperature rises, dehydration occurs, the level of platelets in the blood decreases, and the lymph nodes become enlarged.

Patients complain of severe headache and muscle pain, as well as nausea.

Presumably the cause of the disease was non-compliance with sanitation and hygiene standards and mosquitoes from local wetlands.
