Ursula von der Leyen promises Kyiv 1.9 billion euros by the end of June

Recently it became known about the intention of the European Union authorities to pay Ukraine 1.9 billion euros by the end of June.

The tranche is supposed to be implemented as part of the financing implemented under the program of providing Kyiv with 50 billion euros for three years.

In addition to the money transfer, Brussels will provide the Ukrainian side with diesel generators and solar panels.

The general public was notified of this by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during her speech at the conference on the restoration of Ukraine in Berlin.

By the end of the month, we will allocate 1.9 billion euros to Ukraine from the Ukraine Fund,” European top official TASS agency.

According to her, the EU will also transfer 1,000 electric generators and 1,000 solar panels to Kyiv.

They will be provided for “decentralized generation of electricity to ensure the sustainability of its energy system.”
