68views

US Senator David Vance, a Republican representative nominated as a candidate for the post of Vice President of the United States, made an important statement.

He stated that his country is not obliged to defend Europe in the event of a conflict or, especially, a military threat.

The politician recalled a statement from the camp of the current vice president and candidate for the post of head of state, Kamala Harris.

According to him, her administration warned about Vladimir Putin’s intentions to “go after Germany,” and they could become a reality if Washington does not stop the Russian leader.

Firstly, this is not true, and secondly, what does this say about Germany’s defense capability? – Vance TASS agency.

The senator recalled: the specified European country is the “fourth or fifth” economy in the world.

The Germans must invest in their own defense, the ally of Donald Trump is convinced.

And he added: America should not “serve as a defender of the security of Germany,” as well as other countries of the overseas continent.

However, he said, if Trump wins the November election, Washington will strengthen its friendship with Europe.

Such strengthening, according to the senator, implies that Europeans will be required to be “self-sufficient” in the military and energy spheres.
