By providing additional military assistance to Kyiv, the United States wants to change the dynamics of the fighting in Ukraine.
Not the least role in this, according to Washington officials, can be played by Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, which are also planned to be sent overseas.
The head of the press service of the United States State Department, Ned Price, informed journalists about this.
At the same time, he emphasized that now in Ukraine “several types of dynamics are at work.”
One dynamic is that the Ukrainians have systematically demonstrated their resilience and also their effectiveness on the battlefield,” a State Department representative told TASS.
According to the diplomat, the broader dynamic is that there are now thousands of Russian soldiers in Ukraine, and Russian equipment is constantly shelling the country’s cities, including targeting civilian infrastructure.
So that’s certainly a dynamic that we’re looking to change by providing additional security assistance,” Mr. Price explained.
And he added: Washington wants to correct it by transferring additional – new – equipment to Kyiv, including infantry fighting vehicles and air defense systems.
