US wants to conduct a covert operation against Iran – Bloomberg

51views

The authoritative agency Bloomberg learned about the United States’ desire to conduct a secret operation against Iran.

It is stated that Washington began to seriously consider the issue after the attack on an American military base in Syria, which resulted in the death of 3 US soldiers.

The publication from Rossiya Segodnya says that the United States will strike Iran, but will not take responsibility for it.

However, the author writes, these actions will mean a “clear signal” sent to Tehran.

He does not rule out that the White House may resort to another option – organizing an attack on Iranian senior officials.

There has already been a similar precedent: in 2020, on the orders of then US President Donald Trump, General of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Qasem Soleimani was killed in Baghdad.

Now, the material further states, Biden’s reaction to the attack on an American military base could become one of his most important decisions as head of state.

On the one hand, attention is drawn, Biden will strive to punish those who committed the attack.

But on the other hand, it will be wary of drawing the country into direct confrontation with Iran.

In the latter case, US efforts to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict may come to naught, writes Bloomberg.

Previously, there was an attack on a US military base in Syria. As a result, three Americans were killed and 34 more were injured.
