“We decided to stop Poland”: protesting Polish farmers are preparing to paralyze the country on March 20

62views

Recently, the situation of Polish farmers has deteriorated significantly.

Entrepreneurs involved in agriculture are demanding that the Polish authorities cancel the import of agricultural products from Ukraine, as well as abandon the Green Deal.

So far, farmers’ demands are being ignored. Therefore, protesters are preparing to take serious measures.

Thus, the protesters intend to “paralyze” the country.

The corresponding statement was made by Stanislav Warna, one of the leaders of the protest in one of the Polish regions.

We are not taken seriously. Not a single problem has been solved. That’s why we decided to stop Poland, – MIA provides a translated quote from Varna’s statement.

What are protesters preparing to do in Poland?

According to Varna’s statement, protesters are ready to “lock down” the country on March 20.

According to the protester, the “lockdown” will be in effect for 12 hours – from 7 am to 7 pm.

Varna emphasized: during this period, many Polish residents will not be able to get to study or work. Problems may also arise with visiting retail establishments.

It is noted that protesters may take such a step if the meeting of the protesters with the head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk, does not turn out to be productive.

Earlier, farmers protesting in Warsaw set fire to a coffin near the chancellery building.
