The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), said, this Tuesday (8), that he will continue working to defend the state.

The demonstration was made on social media and after Pastor Silas Malafaia, an ally of the former president, made it.

President Jair Bolsonaro is our greatest political leader. And who gave voice to Brazilian feelings. And, despite the crises he faced, he left a legacy based on structuring measures

“Here in São Paulo, we will continue working to defend this legacy,” said Tarcísio, who was Minister of Infrastructure in the government of the former Chief Executive.

According to the governor, family values, economic liberalism and the guarantee of dignity and prosperity for all will be defended.

Tarcísio stated that there is a need for “an increasingly strong right-wing that is ready to face the challenges that hinder our growth” and the “threat that the left poses to our freedom”.

“Own flight”

HAS CNNMalafaia said he has a “flight of his own” that entitles him to criticize the former president for not having engaged in the campaign of Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB), in São Paulo, given the growth of businessman and influencer Pablo Marçal (PRTB).

“I’m not a Bolsonarominon, I’m a first-time ally,” he told CNN. “I have my own flight. I’m not anyone’s puppet, I’m not a politician. I am free”, he reinforced.

Despite public criticism, the evangelical leader and longtime ally of the former president says he will continue to support Bolsonaro and will not judge him by mistake. The statement was made after Malafaia, in an interview with Folha de S.Paulo, called him a “coward” and “missing”.

“I continue to support Bolsonaro. I don’t judge a man’s story by one mistake. He has a trajectory, unlike Marçal who is an opportunist at the moment”, said Malafaia.

During the first round of the São Paulo elections, Malafaia was critical of Marçal, who was advancing on the evangelical and right-wing electorate.

Bolsonaro, in turn, avoided engaging in Nunes’ campaign until the final stretch and made dubious statements about the businessman and influencer. The former president’s children also stayed away from the dispute in the capital of São Paulo.
