Today I attended the Canada Day celebration in Edmonton, and what I learned shocked me! It was an amazing day full of various activities and experiences.
Free Museum Visits
First of all, I was amazed that many museums today were free to visit. I visited the Muttart Conservatory, where the exhibition “Where the Pyramids Intersect” was held, dedicated to the use of plants in ancient Egyptian society. As part of the holiday, various activities such as henna painting, airbrushing tattoos and quests were also held here.
Entertainment at Edmonton Valley Zoo
I also visited the Edmonton Valley Zoo, which had a variety of entertainment activities, including music, magic shows and other fun activities for children and adults. But the most amazing thing was that it was a free visit!
Polite People and Free Drinks
Another point that has greatly changed my attitude towards Canada is the number of polite people I met at the holiday. There were smiles and friendliness everywhere. I also noticed that there were free drinks everywhere, which added even more joy to the holiday.
Incredible Concerts
I especially remember the concerts that took place at the Alberta Legislature Grounds and at the ICE District Plaza. These were incredible performances, among which Tim Hicks and Nice Horse stood out. The concerts were free, and it really impressed me.
Magnificent Fireworks on Canada Day 2024!
The highlight of the day was fireworks over the North Saskatchewan River. It was a magnificent sight that ended the day on a bright note.
Today has completely changed my idea of Canada. It was an amazing opportunity to see how rich this country is in culture, kindness and hospitality.
