What will happen if Elizabeth II dies: details of the London Bridge plan revealed for the first time

0views

Experts believe that if Queen Elizabeth II dies, the institution of the monarchy in Great Britain is doomed.

But this is in theory. According to the plan, the day of the queen’s death is scheduled almost to the minute. All events of this sad day for Great Britain are described in the special plan “London Bridge”.

Details of the special operation were published by Politico.

It is reported that the operation was developed by the Cabinet of Ministers. The main focus in this case is to prevent chaos and crowds in London.

First of all, the message about the death of the monarch from Buckingham Palace will go to government officials.

“London Bridge”

If you believe the media, then in this case the code phrase “London Bridge is destroyed” should be heard.

The day of death is called “D-Day”, and each subsequent day until the queen’s burial is designated “D+1”, “D+2” and then in ascending order.

Ministers and civil servants will be notified next. There is even a template email for this that reads: “Dear Colleagues, It is with sadness that I write to inform you of the death of Her Majesty the Queen.” The public will then be notified and Whitehall flags will be flown at half-staff.

All this must happen within 10 minutes, because… The government fears possible outrage among the population.

The funeral must be announced by members of the royal family and must take place 10 days after Her Majesty’s death.

There will also be a minute’s silence across the United Kingdom.

“feather”

Next comes the part of the plan called “The Feather”.

From the sixth to the ninth day, the body of the deceased monarch will rest in the Palace of Westminster. The coffin will be placed in an elevated position in the center of Westminster Hall for the civil funeral service. Access will be provided for 23 hours a day.

On the day of the burial there will be a two-minute silence and a funeral procession in London and Windsor.

Interment will take place in the King George VI Memorial Chapel.

This day will become a “Day of National Mourning” for the British people. But if the funeral falls on a weekday, the subjects will not be given a day off.
