What will Putin and Biden talk about during their meeting in Geneva: commentary by Dmitry Peskov

9views

A meeting is scheduled for June 16 between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Joe Biden.

The event will take place in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Russian leader’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov told what topics will be discussed during the negotiations.

According to the Kremlin spokesman, the planned meeting is of great importance.

However, Peskov believes that there should not be inflated expectations from the results of the event.

Putin’s press secretary confirmed that there are serious differences between the Russian Federation and the United States, which are unlikely to be resolved overnight.

However, during the meeting, Russian and American leaders will have the opportunity to discuss precisely these issues.

Each of them will raise those topics that he considers priority for his country, – Dmitry Peskov noted in a comment to Channel One.

The press secretary noted that the very fact of the meeting between the two presidents will be a serious step towards improving Russian-American relations.

The Kremlin representative is confident that mutual respect between states will have a positive effect. But attempts at dictatorship, on the contrary, will make improving the situation impossible.
