While searching for a 2-year-old girl missing in Russia, security forces found bones in the oven

A two-year-old girl went missing in the city of Kholm, Novgorod region (Russia).

Recently it became known that burnt bone fragments were found in her parents’ house.

MIA Rossiya Segodnya reported this with reference to its source in law enforcement agencies.

Fragments similar to bones were found in the stove in the bathhouse. The girl’s parents have been detained, the news agency quotes him as saying.

It is noted that the child’s disappearance was reported by her mother, who said that she left the girl in the house when she went to the bathhouse to wash clothes.

When the woman returned, she said, she did not find the baby.

Investigators opened a criminal case into the murder. All versions of what happened are currently being checked.

Law enforcement officers are interrogating the girl’s relatives, identifying witnesses, and finding out in what conditions the children in this family are being raised.

It is also known that the case is under the control of the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin.

According to information from the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Novgorod Region, Tatyana Efimova, the family is under the control of the preventive system.

By the way, there are eight children in total in the family, but seven were sent to an orphanage and only the youngest girl was left at home due to her age.
