US plans

According to Sullivan, at the alliance summit, a number of countries will commit to increasing their contribution to the defense of NATO’s eastern flank, with an emphasis on the Baltics and other allies on this flank.

The United States, according to a White House spokesman, intends to announce the deployment of additional forces in Europe on land, sea and air on a long-term basis.

Longer than this crisis lasts, no matter how long it lasts, – noted the assistant to the US President.

In particular, Sullivan said, US President Joseph Biden plans to announce an increase in the number of destroyers based in the Spanish Rota from 4 to 6.
