WHO: vaccinations have become less protective of people

19views

Experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) have expressed concern about the situation with flu vaccination.

During the period of the spread of coronavirus infection, scientists began to pay more attention to strains of the pathogen SARS-CoV-2, and not to mutations of other viruses.

In addition, the emphasis is on the production of anti-Covid vaccines.

But manufacturers are spending less capacity on developing drugs to prevent influenza infection.

For this reason, flu vaccines have become less protective of humans. This was reported by foreign media with reference to WHO representatives.

The international institution drew attention to the fact that pharmaceutical companies began to provide almost half as much information about the genetic sequence of the pathogen.

This situation could lead to a significant weakening of the vaccine and an increase in the incidence of influenza.

The WHO does not rule out that next winter the disease could cause the death of several tens of thousands of UK residents.
