With just 59 thousand inhabitants, the municipality of Registro, in Vale da Ribeira, in São Paulo, is among the electoral priorities of, as he tries to elect his brother, Renato Bolsonaro, mayor of the city that is the family’s birthplace.
The former president made a motorcade and participated in events in the city alongside governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) and other leaders, such as the president of the Legislative Assembly, André do Prado (PL).
Renato Bolsonaro does not, however, have the support of the parties that form the Bolsonaro base in São Paulo.
Former head of Geraldo Alckmin’s Civil House in São Paulo and former federal deputy for the PSDB, Samuel Moreira, now in Gilberto Kassab’s PSD, brought together 10 parties in his coalition: PSD, PP, Republicans, União Brasil, MDB, Podemos, Solidarity, PSB and PDT and PSDB. Moreira has already been mayor of the city twice.
