General Director of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant Igor Murashov admitted to leaking information.

According to him, he transmitted data about the events taking place at the facility to the Ukrainian special services.

At the same time, the head of the nuclear power plant realized that the largest nuclear power plant in Europe was being shelled by the Ukrainian military.

I communicated with an SBU employee through instant messengers, the essence of the communication was that I conveyed information about the current state of affairs at the nuclear power plant, – Murashov of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

And he added that he understood what consequences could result from shelling a nuclear power plant—an emergency situation.

Murashov reported that the station was shelled from the Dnieper side, and from the Ukrainian side – from the cities of Nikopol and Marganets.

The General Director drew attention to the fact that ZNPP employees are still in danger precisely because of shelling, especially when they are repairing damage.

According to the information presented in the story, Igor Murashov was expelled to territory controlled by Ukraine.

It also notes that he is accused of “carrying out activities aimed at discrediting the authorities of the Russian Federation.”
